Bonne Nouvelle 2004 - Rolland Collection

Bonne Nouvelle 2004 Stellenbosch South Africa

62% merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Pinotage

“… Good harmony, complexity and drinkability in a classic style.”

A deep colour with carmine highlights and a brick-red rim.

The nose is a complex medley with notes of chocolate, cocoa bean, black cherries in brandy, cedar, eucalyptus and fresh mint.

Smooth on the palate with a rich and powerful tannic structure. Empyreumatic aromas with slightly smoky notes come to the fore along with precious wood (mahogany), underscored by a lovely freshness: a delicious treat ready to enjoy now!

Bonne Nouvelle 2004 - Rolland Collection 93/100
Dark ruby core and a brick rim. Intense perfume of ripe fruit, cassis, plum, cigar box, truffle and leather notes. Good grip on the palate integrated tannin, balanced acidity, layers of sweet fruit, leather and a long finish with fine spiciness, good harmony, complexity and drinkability in a classic style.
Bonne Nouvelle 2004 - Rolland Collection 89/100
The 2004 Bonne Nouvelle has a very ripe sweet, espresso-tinged bouquet with dark berries, a touch of truffle and roasted herbs. The palate is full-bodied with bold, assertive tannins balanced by good acidity. There are touches of dark chocolate and espresso interlacing the grainy, pleasing off-dry finish.
