Bonne Nouvelle 2005 - Rolland Collection

Bonne Nouvelle 2005 Stellenbosch South Africa

45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% merlot, 13% Pinotage

The soul of the a Grand Cru bordelais and the identity of its country.

Deep garnet-red colour with brick-red highlights.

The bouquet is expressive with notes of black cherry, cocoa bean and roasted coffee beans.

Concentrated on the palate with a good tannic structure, but not excessively so.

The freshness of the final blend makes for a very charming and pleasing wine, ready to drink now.

Bonne Nouvelle 2005 - Rolland Collection 90/100
The 2005 Bonne Nouvelle has impressive precision on the nose with dark cherries, dark chocolate and a touch of scorched earth. The palate is soft and rounded on the entry, very well balanced, caressing in the mouth with a plush, cocoa-tinged finish that slips down the throat beautifully.
Bonne Nouvelle 2005 - Rolland Collection 91/100
Dark core and a brick rim, with good length and classic character. Pure nose of leather, sweet fruit, tobacco and spices. The palate is rather full with notes of tobacco, sweet plum, licorice and firm tannin, good length. Andreas Larsson
