Val de Flores 2016 - Rolland Collection

Val de Flores 2016 Mendoza Argentina

100% Malbec - MAGNUMS only

Challenge!

One of the most challenging vintages of the past 30 years, with rainfall 4 to 5 times above average. A difficult year too for organic viticulture, practised in this vineyard since 2011. Well done to our teams who managed to overcome these challenges!

Still a very deep ripe Malbec colour with hints of violet.

Aromas of vanilla mingle with floral notes, going on to reveal candied fruit nuances.

Beautifully compact and full-bodied on the palate with well-integrated tannins. The medium-long finish is sure to delight the taste buds.

Enjoyable as of now – more so than other wines – 10 to 12 years is enough to age this lovely wine.

Val de Flores 2016 - Rolland Collection 94/100
A dense, rich red with lots of power. It’s a big wine, yet it remains fresh and bright. Savory and spicy at the end Fresh and solid. Needs a few years to soften.
