Château Fontenil 2013 - Rolland Collection

Château Fontenil 2013 Fronsac France

90% Merlot - 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Man/earth relashionship like “old lovers”.

A highly interesting vintage since it represents the new wave, in my opinion.

A remarkably fresh wine with excellent tension that should be enjoyed young as its floral aromas with hints of redcurrant give it such a refreshing character.

Definitively modern with its low-alcohol content.

This wine is also very good value for money.

Château Fontenil 2013 - Rolland Collection 92/100
The Rolland family property has produced a classic wine, fresh and fruity, with just a gentle touch of wood. It has some ripe fruitiness that is forward and attractive. — R.V.
Château Fontenil 2013 - Rolland Collection 86-88/100
One of the stars of the Right Bank’s less prestigious Fronsac region, Fontenil is owned by Michel and Dany Rolland. No luxury cuvee Le Defi de Fontenil was produced in this vintage, but the 2013 Fontenil boasts a dark ruby/purple color as well as lots of raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with a floral note, medium body, unobtrusive acids, and a shorter than usual, but still adequate finish.
