Mariflor Malbec 2015 - Rolland Collection

Mariflor Malbec 2015 Mendoza Argentina

100% Malbec

Roundness and generosity!

Mariflor Malbec has the complexity, the power and sensuality with deep aromas of black fruits and spices which will insure it the longevity, roundness and generosity make it pleasant to taste “primeur” or young.

Michel Rolland

Michel and Dany Rolland decided in 2009 to make the first “Mariflor Malbec”, the first vines planted in 1999 and next years, beginning to give grapes worthy of a cuvée of this emblematic grape-variety and the French oenologists knew its evolution and consecration for 20 years in Argentina (in Yacochuya and Val de Flores).

Grapes with beautiful maturity, after double sorting, are vinified by gravity in small concrete tanks, temperatures’ control, manual punching, without pumping and with a lot of respect. Malolactic fermentation in new barrels of one year and ageing during 15 months.

Mariflor Malbec 2015 - Rolland Collection 93/100
The nose to this malbec is subtle and very much in tune with iodine, violets, slate and hints of ink. Full body, lots of firm, chewy tannins and a structured finish.
