Mariflor Sauvignon Blanc 2019 - Rolland Collection 91+/100
The intensely herbal 2019 Mariflor Sauvignon Blanc shows great varietal typicity, more in the style of the wines from Sancerre than anything from New Zealand. It has citrus, fresh herbs and subdued minerality, a fresh palate, despite its 14.5% alcohol, and a long and dry finish. This warm-climate Sauvignon Blanc always surprises me, especially in warmer years.
Mariflor Sauvignon Blanc 2019 - Rolland Collection 91/100
Michel Rolland is famous for his red wines all around the world but in Argentina it's his Sauvignon Blanc Mariflor that has become a cult hit. Made in a raw style, the 2019 combines the leafy, green character of early-picked fruit with tropical, late harvest aromas: lime, lemon, passion fruit and grass. Fatty, lively and intense, this is a raw, unpolished white full of high pitched energy that will bring a smile to your face. Joaquim Hidalgo.
